Shipping and Delivery Policy
Midrand Warehouse Dispatch Schedules, Nationwide South African Transit Times, and Hazardous Freight Protocols
1. Central Dispatch Hub and Order Handling Cutoffs
All online and commercial orders placed with TZG Holdings are fulfilled directly from our primary warehousing and distribution complex situated at 4 River Rd, Barbeque Downs, Midrand, Gauteng 1684, South Africa. Positioned strategically between Johannesburg and Pretoria with immediate access to the N1, N3, and R21 arterial freight corridors, our Midrand hub enables rapid consolidation and dispatch of both chemical reagents and bulk agricultural commodities.
Orders accompanied by verified payment confirmation received before 14:00 South African Standard Time (SAST) Monday through Friday enter warehouse picking and hazardous or phytosanitary packaging queues on the same afternoon. Standard order handling and pallet preparation require one (1) to two (2) business days. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, or official South African public holidays are processed on the next working Monday.
2. Nationwide Delivery Coverage and Provincial Transit Timelines
TZG Holdings delivers across all nine provinces of the Republic of South Africa utilizing our dedicated Gauteng delivery vehicles alongside SANS accredited national road freight partners. Estimated transit times following dispatch from our Barbeque Downs depot are structured by region as follows:
- Gauteng Metropolitan Corridor (Johannesburg, Midrand, Centurion, Pretoria, East Rand, West Rand, Vaal Triangle): One (1) to two (2) business days via direct road delivery.
- Adjacent Provincial Centres (Polokwane, Nelspruit, Rustenburg, Mahikeng, Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Pietermaritzburg, Durban): Two (2) to three (3) business days via interprovincial linehaul freight.
- Coastal and Long Distance Hubs (Cape Town, George, Gqeberha, East London, Upington, and outlying rural agricultural districts): Three (3) to five (5) business days depending on pallet weight and hazardous classification.
3. Freight Rates, Hazardous Chemical Compliance, and Bulk Tonnage
Shipping charges are calculated transparently in South African Rand (ZAR) during checkout based on consignment mass, volumetric dimensions, and destination postal code. Standard parcel and single bag orders below twenty five kilograms qualify for flat rate national courier delivery, while multi drum chemical orders and palletized agricultural seed or grain consignments are billed according to commercial road freight tariffs.
Corrosive acids, oxidizing agents, and regulated mining or industrial reagents under our Chemicals category are transported strictly by certified dangerous goods carriers compliant with SANS 10228 and SANS 10231 road transport regulations, complete with Tremcards and UN specification packaging. Agricultural commodities under our Agriculture category travel in clean, food grade, moisture protected trailers separated from industrial cargo.
4. Waybill Tracking, Warehouse Collections, and Delivery Inspection
Immediately upon dispatch from Midrand, clients receive an electronic dispatch notification from sales@tzgholdings.co.za containing the carrier name, waybill tracking number, and estimated arrival date. Buyers who prefer to collect orders using their own vehicles or contracted freight forwarders may select Warehouse Collection by appointment at 4 River Rd, Barbeque Downs, Midrand, Gauteng 1684 between 08:30 and 16:00 Monday to Friday.
Upon arrival of any consignment, the receiving officer at the buyer premises must inspect the outer drums, seals, or woven bags before signing the courier proof of delivery waybill. If any outer container appears punctured, leaking, or water stained, the recipient must note the discrepancy directly on the waybill and contact TZG Holdings on +27 82 123 4567 or sales@tzgholdings.co.za within forty eight (48) hours so our logistics team can lodge an immediate transit claim and dispatch replacement stock.
5. Receiving Site Access, Offloading Equipment, and Failed Delivery Protocols
Commercial buyers ordering palletized drums, intermediate bulk containers, or multi ton agricultural bags must ensure that their designated delivery address can accommodate heavy road freight vehicles and possesses a forklift or loading dock for safe offloading. Where tail lift vehicles or manual offloading assistance are required at a farm or laboratory site, clients should notify sales@tzgholdings.co.za when placing the order so appropriate vehicle allocation can be arranged.
If a scheduled delivery cannot be completed because the receiving premises are closed during normal business hours or no authorised representative is present to sign the dangerous goods or commodity waybill, the carrier will return the consignment to the nearest provincial depot and our dispatch team on +27 82 123 4567 will contact the buyer immediately to coordinate a second delivery window.
